To be Continued...
Well Emily and I received some bad news when we went in for our ultrasound to find out what we were having. We found out that we were having a baby boy, unfortunately he has a rare condition called Osteogensis Imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease). Aiden, is the name we gave him, was labelled with a lethal case of OI. This was devastating news to us. There was no chance for survival for Aiden. He was born March 14, 2008. He weighed 2.9 oz and was 5.5 inches long. That day was a very spiritual experience for Emily and I. We felt his spirit there with us as we copped with his loss. We know he will always be in our hearts and part of our family. We are now awaiting results from the autopsy to tell if this case of OI is a recessive type or a sporadic-dominate type. If it is the sporadic-dominate type then there is a small chance that this will not happen again. If the results show that this is a recessive type of OI then there is a 25% chance of our future children suffering the same end as Aiden did. We continue to pray that the results are promising for our family and know that the Lord has our lives in his hands. We love Aiden very much and miss his personality. We knew him well and will remember him forever and our children will know what their older brother did to prepare the way for his siblings
