At the beginning of June Brent was cleaning out our front flower garden. He was trimming the bushes and a egg rolled out from behind one of them. He looked over and a mother duck was sitting there watching him from the sidewalk. He quickly rolled the egg back in without touching it. The mother did eventually return and continued to sit on her nest. It was fun to check on her and watch the process. While our niece Ella was here loved going over and looking at the duck. Every time she went outside she would say, "Quack, Quack". I had a silly dream of at least seeing the ducklings, but the hatched while we were out of town and all we have left is egg shells. This is our 2nd mamma duck that has chosen our yard to nest in. Its kinda fun!
