On June 24th....Our 9th anniversary!!!...We went to Torrey Pines State beach. It was so nice! When we got there it was a little cool but warmed up nicely as the day went on. We had a great time playing on the beach and having a nice picnic. The sand was a little more packed so as long as Jack had shoes on he would walk on it. When then went back to the hotel and gave Jack a good nap and Brent and I played some games. For dinner we went down to Little Italy in San Diego. We walked passed a lot of really nice Italian places and even some that I had looked into. We were a little intimidated by some of them and were worried that Jack would be a little distracting in some of them. We walked until we found one that looked a little more family friendly. The only problem was the food wasn't that wonderful. But oh well! We left and went and found us some yummy gelato and shared a canoli. We then got in the car and drove out to see if we could find the Point Loma light house. We drove for awhile and found Sunset Cliffs where we knew we wanted to be for sunset but the GPS was having a hard time leading us to the right place. Finally we were on the right track. We got to the gate where you go in to see the light house and it was closed. It is only open during the day. We were a little bummed but we really enjoyed the ride and the scenery. It all ended up working out because by the time we found it, it was time to head back to sunset cliff to watch the sunset. It was a great day and we enjoyed being able to celebrate the day we became a family and to have Jack with us made it even better!!!
Trying to discover the sand
This beach had its fair share of Jelly Fish! We even saw a couple people that got stung but the life guards had some stuff that they would spray on it.
Beautiful View
The beach makes anyone thirsty
We tried writing in the sane but it didn't work to well.
We tried rocks....They seemed to blend to much though but it was kinda fun collecting them and Jack enjoyed helping.
Here we are on our 9th anniversary
He tried to sit on the towel and play in the sand. So in turn the towel turned into a sand dune.
Brent and Jack built some castles...
We drove up the Torrey Pines State road and found some awesome views.
Point Loma Light house
Military cemetary
Downtown San Diego
Sunset Cliffs....Jack is crying and saying cold....we totally forgot his Jacket...Parent of the year award!!!
After about 2 minutes we went and got back in the car so Jack wouldn't freeze
