Nauvoo

We had the opportunity to go to Nauvoo this last July. We went to see my family in the Nauvoo Pageant. Here are some pictures so show a little bit of what we experienced. There are a lot of pictures so keep going. :)
WINTER QUARTERS

On our way to Nauvoo we stopped in Omaha and saw Winter Quarters and the
Winter Quarters Temple. It was a nice evening but lots of bugs. We my cousin Ben with us and he entertained us by trying to catch the fireflies for Ali's bug collection. :) We also had my Grandma Duzett with us and they both kept us entertained as we made the long trip.

NAUVOO
These girls had a great time together. This is them the first night they would just giggle and giggle!

Brent with Ella and Joceyln.

The girls in their matching shirts that Jocelyn had picked out for them when we were in
El Paso in May. She was so worried that Ella had one too.

Ella and Jocey talking about their next adventure.

They loved sitting on this tub together.

COUNTRY FAIR!
Every night they had a country fair an hour before the Nauvoo pageant started with dancing, games, and we loved the cheap snack bar with Nachos and snow cones! YUM
I enjoyed being with these two girls!!!

Easton trying to get some sleep...poor thing. :)

Jocey loved the dancing at the fair... she is trying to do Irish dance

Sarah with one of the many friends she made while participating in the pageant. If you want to see more pictures of the pageant look at my sister Heather's blog. She had a nice camera there and got some great shots of my family in the pageant the reason for going to Nauvoo.

WATCHING SOME SHOWS!

Jocelyn and Ella playing with one of the cast members.

The couple that played Joseph and Emma. They did a fantastic job!

Carthage Jail... A place that has an incredible spirit. Jocelyn wanted to be in our family picture which was just fine with us.

Trail of Hope
Saturday morning we went on the trial of hope and listened to the stories of the pioneers as they left Nauvoo.

The end of the trail of hope and standing in front of the Mississippi River

Trying to get a shot in the 5 minutes we had. It was so hot and the kids weren't having it. But it is proof that we were all together.

When we got home my family wasn't home for a couple days so I decided to make a sign for them. They were happy to be home but they really miss Nauvoo.
