Last week was spring break. My Mom and I were talking and decided kinda last minute that we would like to go see Jared, Celyn, Jocelyn, and Tyler in El Paso. So I convinced myself that I could drive that far and that Jack would be o.k. So last Monday, April 2nd. Me, my Mom, Jack, Sarah and my cousin Ali loaded up my Outback and headed out on a true adventure. On the way down we ran into a lot of wind, rain, snow, and sleet. It slowed us down a bit but were able to make it to El Paso in about 16hrs. Jack did pretty well. He doesn't like when it is dark so it took a lot of singing primary songs and a little book light to keep him calm. Sarah and Ali did a great job of keeping him entertained the whole way.
Once we got there we enjoyed just being with Jared and Celyn. They were great host and we felt right at home. Thank you Jared and Celyn! We went shopping ate lots of yummy food, and just enjoyed visiting.
Jocelyn loves Jack. She was so excited to be able to touch him and give him hugs.
Jack also just loved to sit and watch Jocelyn
We had a BBQ one night when we were there and Jared grilled hamburgers and Celyn bought these beautiful flowers for the center piece.
Jared grilling in there outdoor kitchen. It was about 85 degrees while we were there
Jack just loved Tyler also. He loved watching him crawl and climb all over.
Jack trying to play too.
Cute Tyler... a little blurry because this boy doesn't like to sit still
Jocelyn reading Jack some books
Dying Easter eggs.
We thought we would dye Jack his very own egg!
Oh how I love this little guy!
We decided to do the drive back in 2 days so we stopped and got a hotel room. This was Jacks first stay in a hotel so I took a couple pictures.
He is smiling at Grandma
