After 8 years of being in a classroom Brent and I have made the decision that it is time for me to stay home. As I sat at my desk last week and filled out my resignation forms I got a little emotional. While teaching is one of the hardest jobs. It is also the most rewarding. I love being with those little kids and teaching them. I love watching those kids that do not know a whole lot when they come to me to finishing the year ready to read. To see the light in their eyes when something we are learning about sparks their interest.
The things I won't miss is seeing those kids that come from such hard circumstances, kids with major behavior problems, and five year olds with to much attitude for their own good!
Now it is time that I bring my teaching into my own home. As I raise and nurture Jack and prepare him for the day that he goes to school.
We are grateful for Brent's employment that at this time makes it possible for me to stay home. We are grateful for Brent's hard work and a huge promotion that we were blessed with this past week.
Some pictures of my classroom
We had teacher appreciation week this past week and some of my room moms decorated my door with cute pictures of them in chef hats with a big cupcake and this poem in the middle. My class was really generous and gave me a huge basket full of baby toys for Jack. It was so fun to see all the toys. I forgot to take a picture of it before I took it all apart.

That is awesome. I am sure there will be a few things about teaching that you will miss but how awesome to be a stay at home mom. I must say I a little jealous but so happy for you!
It will be an adjustment not doing your usual routine everyday and not having the interaction with the other kids and adults, but you'll get there. Good luck!
That's wonderful! And congrats to Brent!
