On our 4th and final day in North Carolina we decided to go and climb one last lighthouse. We went down the road about five miles from our hotel and saw the Currituck lighthouse. It was not to bad to climb but the view at the top was amazing!!! After we climbed the lighthouse we were hot and it was humid so we headed to the beach. Our hotel had its own private beach and was not crowded at all. It was great because they had chairs and umbrellas right there to rent. The other nice thing was being steps away from our hotel room. So when we needed a snack I could just walk right over and grab something and be back in seconds. Brent LOVED the waves. He spent hours playing in the ocean. I went out a couple of times but the waves beat me up pretty bad. The Atlantic ocean is a little rougher than the pacific that we are used to. So I just sat on the beach and enjoyed the scenery. After we had had enough of the beach we went in and got cleaned up and went shopping. After shopping we went to dinner at a place called the Dunes. It was really good food but I ordered some fried chicken and they brought me out like the whole bird!!! It was waaaaaayyy to much food. Then we headed back to the hotel to pack. :( After about ten minutes we decided to leave agian and get some ice cream. The ice cream shop we went to was an outdoor one that closed at 9:00 we pulled up at 8:58 and were so happy that they would take our order. When we turned around after placing our order. There was a HUGE line behind us. The poor guys working that night didn't end up closing till about 9:30... They seemed to be pretty good sports about it though.
