This is a picture of Jack's home for the last week.
Saturday night Brent stopped by the NICU to drop off some milk for Jack and meet the night time nurse. The nurse mentioned a possibility that if Jack passed his car seat test and his Jaundice levels didn't jump up he might be able to come home on Sunday. Brent and I didn't want to get our hopes up but we decided we would spend all the time we needed to get everything we needed to do so if Jack could come home, he could. One of the big hurdles we had to overcome was to make a pediatrician appointment. Well, it's Sunday and there are not many pediatric centers that are open. Brent called the one we wanted to take Jack to and we got an automated message saying they were closed but they did have an on call doctor. We thought we would take a chance and try the on call doctor and see if it was possible to get an appointment. The pediatrician said they wouldn't want us to stay in the NICU more time then we had to and he guaranteed us we could get an appointment with that information the doctors and nurses in the NICU felt good enough to send Jack home if he could eat enough. We worked with Jack to get him eating enough food to meet their requirements. So, JACK IS COMING HOME!!!

Parent Survival package given to us by the NICU staff. We are so grateful for all the wonderful nurses that cared for Jack while he was in the NICU. He had some awesome nurses looking over him.
