More NICU fun!

Jack has been doing really well in the NICU. All the nurses have loved him and expressed how cute or handsome he is. Friday during the day we were there and helped with some of his cares and feedings. They checked his glucose again and since it was staying at a good level they decided it was time to take out his IV. Yah! One more step to getting him home. He still had to have his photo therapy for his Jaundice. Brent went over to see him Saturday night while I stayed home and rested. Pleasantly when Brent got there he noticed Jack's feeding tube was gone. He tried to take a picture but it was pretty dark but if you look closely you can see his feeding tube is gone.

We later found out that he had pulled it out all by himself and the nurse didn't see any reason to put it back in. Also since the lights were off this also meant that his Jaundice had gone down and he was no longer in need of the light treatment.

Now that he didn't need to be under the lights for his photo therapy we could put some cloths on him. The NICU had some outfits we could use while we were there. The next couple of pictures show his outfits he wore at the NICU. This one was his first outfit. He promptly spit up all over it while he was eating so I guess he didn't like it.

All the outfits the NICU had were premie. The next outfit was one that even though it was a premie, Jack did not fit in it. You can't tell in the picture but his knees had to be bent in order to fit into this outfit
